Camouflaged Women

Welcome to camouflaged women, a blog by a Female Veteran for all service women, whether you are currently serving or a veteran. I hope to make this place a relatable community, a place where we can belong with women who have been in our boots. I also will bring some light and focus on to Women’s health and the Veteran’s Administration so that in the future we may be able to get the best care, the care that all veteran’s deserve. Let’s make them take notice of us. Female service members and veterans matter too. Here’s to no longer being invisible, a woman in camouflage!

About MeMy Blog

Welcome To My Blog

Hi, my name is Jessica Ray. I am a disabled veteran. I currently reside in Oregon where I grew up. I was stationed at FT. Hood, Texas as a military police officer. I have a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice.

I was a police officer, a step mom, a wife, and an extreme couponer. I am now a Woman navigating the difficult VA system much like many others. I craft, I hang out with my cats, I watch a lot of television and music videos. I love hanging out with friends and hiking. Let’s add successful blogger to my story shall we?

22 A Day Too Many

Ft. Hood Part 2

Ft. Hood Part 2

As every active duty soldier knows, you must find your place at your duty station. A place within your company, a place within your platoon, and a place among the other soldiers. It wasn’t long before I was making friends and getting to know people. Fraternizing with...
